Job Summary
- Have a detailed understanding of and being up to date with the AML / AFC regulatory framework, principles and standards
- Implement and apply a risk-based approach to AML / AFC
- Assist with the compilation and evaluation of the group Risk Management and Compliance programs (RMCPs)
- Reporting on the effectiveness of implemented CDD / EDD processes
- Transaction monitoring
- Detect, investigate alerts, report suspicious activities and or transactions (SARs / STRs)
- Provide advice and guidance in relation to legislative / regulatory requirements, alerts, suspicious or unusual activities
- Identify training requirements on all aspects of ML, TF and sanctions risk – both in terms of general awareness & role specific training requirements; assess effectiveness of training provided
- Continuous improvement of the AML / AFC RMCP / process, while ensuring sufficient evidence of all changes remain documented
- Understand the digital landscape, contribute to technology plan and the relevant technology requirements, identify system improvements or alternative systems that can improve overall team efficiency
- Good working knowledge of financial services legislation, to serve as back-up to other members of the governance team
- Must be able to prepare and deliver presentations on topics such as changes in regulations or new developments which impact on our business
- Ad hoc projects
Requirements:
- Min 10 years’ experience in an AML compliance role or similar role.
- Compliance qualification will be advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – must be comfortable presenting to groups
