Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance features like transaction monitoring, sanctions checks, and audit logging — think smart systems with real consequences.
- Prototype workflows in low/nocode tools, then strengthen them with production-grade code.
- Integrate internal + external services through secure APIs — making data flow as clean as a top-tier creator edit.
- Embed privacy controls, rule engines, and anomaly detection into the platform’s core.
- Balance delivery speed with long-game stability in a regulated space (no cowboy coding).
- Work closely with founders, product, and compliance teams to translate complex laws into smooth digital experiences.
- Mentor juniors and uplift engineering quality across code reviews and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years software engineering experience (fintech/regulatory environment is a plus)
- Strong backend with NodeJS + frontend experience with ReactJS
- Solid with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
- Comfortable with containerisation and secure API integrations
- Experience with low/nocode workflow tools, rule engines or configurable logic platforms
- Passion for building secure systems handling sensitive customer data
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or similar (advantageous)
