Job Description

This position gives you full ownership of utility analysis, billing accuracy, and cost recovery across a large, multitenanted property portfolio, basically, if something uses water, gas, or electricity, you’ll probably know about it before the tenants do.
You’ll also get to contribute to sustainability initiatives, which means you can finally channel your inner “energysaving superhero” into an actual job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse utility consumption, costs, and billing across tenants like the true spreadsheet detective you are
  • Validate municipal and tenant invoices and catch the creative ones
  • Prepare dashboards, KPIs, and reports that make anomalies nervous
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for utilities
  • Collaborate with tenants, municipalities, service providers, and internal teams to solve utility mysteries
  • Identify and implement process improvements, tech solutions, and efficiency initiatives (bonus points if they reduce future headaches)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • BCom Degree or Diploma in Chemical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in utilities management within the energy services or property management sector
  • Experience in multitenanted property environments
  • Exposure to portfoliolevel reporting and stakeholder engagement
