- Advantageous if you are currently completing or recently completed a Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
DUTIES
- Coordinate and track international inbound shipments
- Complete freight forwarder reports and perform freight cost and profit analyses
- Coordinate any tender processes required
- For inbound and outbound shipments conduct regular cost comparisons
- Manage the factory shipping schedules
- Ensure shipments arrive as scheduled
- Receive stock, monitor waybills, and maintain accurate shipment records
- Coordinate the annual freight tender process
- Manage and organise supply chain documentation efficiently
- Manage customs clearance processes
- Escalate issues where necessary
- Professionally communicate with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders
- Ordering of consumable requirements
- Dealing with outsourced warehouse and courier partners
- Manage receipting, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods
- Checking that stock received is unpacked, and relabeled correctly
- Maintain the store area & record and control all stock movements leaving the warehouse
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Participate actively in business improvement projects and initiatives and identify areas for cost reductions
