About the Role

An established organisation within the mining and resources industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing specialist expertise, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, and supporting the achievement of strategic objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: NQF 7 qualification (Bachelors degree or Advanced Diploma) in a relevant field.

• Professional Registration: SAICA registration is mandatory.

• Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience in a related role.

  • Minimum of 2 years at a supervisory level or within a specialist functional area.

  • Minimum of 4 years SOX-related experience.

• Other Requirements:

  • Medically fit to work in the designated business area.

  • Clear security screening record.

  • Valid drivers license (if applicable).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical financial and compliance expertise in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Lead and support audit and SOX compliance processes.

• Oversee and guide team members to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen governance and risk management practices.

• Monitor, review, and report on financial controls and processes.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and corporate governance frameworks.
