Description:
Hire Resolve’s client is currently looking for a Senior Resource Geologist to be based in Gauteng. As a Senior Resource Geologist you will be responsible for overseeing mineral resource estimation, modelling, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and validate mineral resource models using geological, assay, and geostatistical data
• Oversee data integrity and quality assurance/control (QA/QC) protocols for geological data
• Collaborate with mine planning, exploration, and metallurgical teams to align resource models with operational goals
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to geology and resource estimation teams
• Review and approve resource statements for internal and external reporting
• Conduct geological risk assessments and contribute to strategic mine planning
• Evaluate and implement new software and techniques to improve resource modeling accuracy
• Support exploration targeting by integrating resource data with geological interpretation
• Prepare and present resource updates to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• BSc Hons Degree in Geology/Mineral Resource Management or equivalent.
• SACNASP Registered
• 5 years experience in geological modelling and mineral resource estimation within the mining industry.
• Experience in managing databases and applying grade estimation methods, with strong proficiency in geological modelling and geostatistical tools like Leapfrog, Datamine, and Supervisor.
• Valid Driver’s License
