Job Summary
Front of house operations
Implementing SOPs
Hosting guests to world-class standards.
Managing back of house operations, including inventory management, monthly sales reports, curio shop sales, and maintenance checks for utilities and vehicles.
Compile operational day sheets and ensuring all special requests are catered for.
Land Management – overall management of land, including roads maintenance
Overall responsibility for all human resources
Assist owners in creating annual and monthly training plan for all departments and structure external training
Place and monitor all lodge operational stock orders
Work with chef team to ensure menu and food are aligned to highest lodge quality standards and food budgets are being met and monitored
Work directly with all HOD’s to ensure Lodge and Service standards are maintained and ensure costs and budgets are managed and not exceeded.
Oversee all administrative duties
Ensure all guest areas are maintained correctly
Constantly evolving the guest experience to ensure we remain cutting edge and exceed guests’ expectations
Training & succession planning
Oversee weekly HOD meetings, hold daily operational meetings and monthly financial meetings
Ensure staff files are all up to date including licenses and documentation require for their positions
Assist in budget creation and management. CAPEX structuring and planning responsibility.
Working closely with the maintenance day to ensure Best Operating Practice Standards are maintained on a day-to-day basis
Requirements:
Grade 12 / High School Diploma
Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management or Qualifications to obtain an employment permit in Zambia
Strong financial capabilities
Strong hospitality and field experience with traceable references
At least 3 years previous 5* lodge management experience
Experience working in remote environments
Knowledge of wine, F&B, spa and wellness offerings.
Staying updated with trends to elevate guest experiences creatively.
Strong leadership to ensure staff perform with integrity and honesty.
Proven ability to train, motivate and uplift local staff
Skills:
Energetic, healthy, proactive person with well-developed concept of the importance of providing a world-class guest experience and the ability to provide that experience.
Aware, evolved, energetic, compassionate, respectable, good communication and a strong leader.
Critical and lateral thinking ability
Initiative, able to work and perform without supervision
Must be able to cope under pressure to meet and exceed guests needs
Good interpersonal skills and communication with staff and guests

Willingness/ability to share information and teach and inspire others
Computer and financial skills
