Job Summary
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standard in the hot kitchen section
- Maintain consistency and quality across all hot food items
- Assist in menu planning and development with a focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and maintain kitchen discipline
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to maintain smooth kitchen operations
Requirements:
- Formal culinary qualification (e.g., Culinary Arts Diploma or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury lodge, hotel, or fine dining environment
- Strong knowledge of hot kitchen techniques and plating standards
- Passion for bush cuisine with a modern twist
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to live and work in a remote bush environment on a scheduled rotation
