Job Summary
- Compile and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with IATF16949 and customer requirements
- Maintain the Plant Quality Manual and Procedures from the other departments
- Manage the Corrective Action for external customer complaints
- Co-ordinate that Plant Management Review Meetings are held as required
- Co-ordinate internal/external auditors during audit
- Promote quality awareness throughout the Plant
- Co-ordinate all documentation requirements
- Ensure that all quality controlled records are identified and maintained
- Manage and conduct all internal audits
- Ensure that all Customer requirements are met
- Assist all departments with Customer specific requirements as per quality agreements and requirements
- Continuous improvement of product quality and systems by analysing performance and implementation of corrective action/s when required
- Identify and implement continuous improvement areas to maintain agreed quality level of system and parts
- Overview of the core tool review process and inputs to the quality system
- Manage Customer requests and/or complaints
- Attend to all Customer requests and/or complaints and give necessary feedback as required within designated timeframes (containment and permanent corrective actions)
- Visit Customers regularly and as requested by Customer and/or Company Quality Representative
- Use Customer specific problem-solving methods (G8D)
- Manage any quality related customer systems and processes required
- Co-ordinate all improvement actions or problem solving between the departments and facilitate the 8D process
- Manage Quality Performance Indicators
- Ensure proper recording of all data required for quality performance indicators
- Compile weekly, monthly graphs
- Analyse and implement corrective/preventative action to maintain and improve all KPI’s
Job Requirements:
- National Diploma: Quality or National Diploma in Engineering. B-Tech Quality/City & Guilds
- Computer literate (Intermediate to Advanced MS-Office skills)
- Core tools Certification.
- Project Management Qualification.
- Manufacturing process knowledge coupled with mechanical and technical logic.
- Read and understand technical drawings and/or plans.
- 3+ years’ experience in quality in an automotive environment
- 2+ years’ experience in implementing and auditing quality system within an automotive environment.

- Stop production when non- conforming product is made.
- Report any unsafe act and/or condition to HSEE Co-Ordinator.
