About the Role
Network Finance is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Financial Manager to join our team in Johannesburg North. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the Financial Manager with full financial management, reporting, and analysis. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Manager with full financial management, reporting, and analysis.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform accurate reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Monitor cost control and assist with inventory and production costing.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and industry regulations.
- Participate in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
- Identify process improvements and support operational efficiency within the finance team.
- Provide ad-hoc financial support and analysis to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (BCom Accounting/Finance or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ accounting or finance experience, preferably in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting/ERP software
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (if applicable).
