Job Purpose As an Engineering Graduate, you will be an integral part of the engineering team at our plants. Key Accountabilities and Outputs – Support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical and electrical systems in the plant. – Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of new mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery. – Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth plant operations. – Collaborate with senior engineers on project-based work, including plant upgrades, efficiency enhancements, and safety initiatives. – Analyze data and assist in the development of reports for performance analysis and process optimization. – Contribute to the development and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules. – Participate in continuous improvement efforts and contribute ideas to enhance plant processes, reduce downtime, and improve productivity. – Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all aspects of plant operations. Qualifications and Experience – Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (BENG). – Strong theoretical knowledge in mechanical design, thermodynamics, materials science, and manufacturing processes. – Hands-on experience (internships, projects, etc.) in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage. – A strong interest in plant engineering, process optimization, and maintenance activities. – Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. – Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. – A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. – Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
