Sales Manager Used Passenger Vehicles – POS25199
Location: Meadowdale
Salary: R20 – 25 000.00 + benefits
Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Used Vehicle Sales Manager to lead all aspects of pre-owned vehicle sales operations. This role is ideal for someone with deep industry knowledge, a proven track record in used car management, and the ability to lead a high-performing team to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years in a senior automotive sales role.
- Prior management experience in used vehicle sales is essential.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Automotive sales training or certification (advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of used vehicle markets and valuation trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage stock, drive sales, and maintain profitability.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Customer-focused with a professional and proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all used vehicle sales operations.
- Source, evaluate, and procure quality pre-owned vehicles for resale.
- Set competitive pricing strategies aligned with market trends and stock turnover goals.
- Ensure timely reconditioning of vehicles for sale readiness.
- Lead, train, and motivate the used car sales team to consistently meet and exceed targets.
- Monitor stock aging and rotation to maintain an optimal inventory mix.
- Drive and manage digital and traditional marketing strategies for pre-owned vehicles.
- Negotiate and close high-value deals with customers and trade partners.
- Maintain strict compliance with all dealership policies and legal obligations.
- Analyze key sales and operational metrics (GP per unit, ROI, stock days) and implement improvements where needed.
