Job Summary

A leading solar company in Cape Town is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team.

The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:

Coordinate all orders from various departments:

Trade
Installations
Warehouse

Place orders with various Suppliers:

Ensure introductory call/email is sent to all Suppliers

Negotiating prices for goods and services to ensure that they are fair market value:

Maintain strong supplier relationships
Negotiate bulk pricing
Keep pace with new suppliers in the market

Coordinating with suppliers to ensure that they deliver on time and meet quality standards:

Liaise with various departments on delivery lead times

Managing inventory levels of materials and supplies:

Identify bill of quantities needed for all departments
Ensure bill of quantities are always met
Provide monthly reporting on stock movements and changes made to MOQ
Identify and manage dead stock identified
Report on stocktake findings and implement stock control procedures to be followed

Ensuring that system pricing is correct:

Request price list monthly from main suppliers and ensure that pricing remains accurate

Key requirements:

Relevant Bachelors/Diploma in Supply Chain or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar industry
MS Suite proficient

Job Summary

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities within the organization’s mining operations. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the mining industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of driving cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure the timely sourcing of goods and services to meet operational needs.
Lead the supplier evaluation and selection process to identify and onboard qualified suppliers who meet the company’s quality, sustainability, and safety requirements.
Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring effective communication and long-term partnerships to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans to address any issues.
Oversee the procurement budget, monitor costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or service.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting the procurement function in the mining industry.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal, ethical, and environmental standards and guidelines in all procurement activities.

Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the mining industry sector.
Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies.
Strong negotiation and contracting skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and deliver value for the organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Solid understanding of supply chain management principles, including sourcing, logistics, and inventory management.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement in the mining industry.
Skilled in using procurement software and systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

Hire Resolves client in the Solar Energy Industry is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement process and ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for their organization. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing the procurement team.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier selection to contract negotiation and implementation.
Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and maintain a database of approved suppliers.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and leverage this knowledge to achieve cost savings and process improvements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements.
Monitor and manage supplier performance, conducting regular performance reviews and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, operations, and legal, to ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan procurement activities, and ensure an uninterrupted supply chain.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in procurement to continually improve processes and provide innovative solutions.

Requirements:

BCom qualification
Key player in supplier and subcontractor vetting procedures alongside COO. This would need to
be done for any country in Africa which requires an installed system. Vet suppliers and products
that has been requested for use by the Engineering Department
Keep pricelists updated for Engineering Department to use for detailed project costing.
Drive & develop project Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in conjunction with Engineering Department.
Handover project procurement list (BOQ) to Project Management Dept.
Project budget review and signatory on behalf of Engineering Department.
Driving and monitoring credit applications with suppliers.
Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company.
Identifies and researches potential new suppliers.
Research new products and services to meet company’s goals.
Assesses total costs of company purchases.
Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing products and monitoring stock levels.
Company stock& inventory management.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve is excited to present a job opportunity for a Procurement Manager in the Solar Industry. Our client, a renowned company in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sustainability and renewable energy to make a significant impact in the industry.

As a Procurement Manager in the Solar Industry, you will be responsible for managing the procurement activities related to solar projects. This includes sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring that the company’s procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

Key player in supplier and subcontractor vetting procedures alongside COO for any country in Africa requiring installed systems.
Vet suppliers and products requested by Engineering Department for use.
Keep pricelists updated for Engineering Department to facilitate detailed project costing.
Drive and develop project Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in collaboration with Engineering Department.
Hand over project procurement list (BOQ) to Project Management Department.
Review project budgets and sign on behalf of Engineering Department.
Drive and monitor credit applications with suppliers.
Liaise with key company employees to determine product and service needs.
Monitor business trends and product availability to secure best prices without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate optimal pricing.
Identify and research potential new suppliers.
Research new products and services aligned with company goals.
Assess total costs of company purchases.
Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing products while monitoring stock levels.
Manage company stock and inventory.
Ensure implementation of all duties across all Company Branches in Africa.
Adhere to company ISO 9001 & 45001 Compliances

Requirements:

A results-oriented professional with a knack for networking and excellent written and communication skills.
Superior organizational skills and strategic planning abilities.
Demonstrated business instincts and financial analysis skills.
Proficient negotiator with logistics expertise.
Specialized industry knowledge and strong adherence to strategic planning.
A minimum tertiary qualification of B.Com.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve is a leading recruitment agency specializing in various industries and sectors. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager for a solar energy company.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement process for our organization. This includes sourcing and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement activities align with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers
Negotiate and manage contracts
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and company policies
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to understand and meet procurement needs
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in procurement software and tools
Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements
