About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our precast concrete manufacturing site in Pietermaritzburg, responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing daily production processes to improve efficiency, workflow, and output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and optimize daily production processes
  • Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions
  • Support quality control and ensure compliance with SANS, SANRAL, and internal quality standards
  • Collaborate with design, maintenance, logistics, and management teams to ensure seamless production delivery
  • Assist with process improvements, tooling, mould optimization, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and operational standards on the production floor

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a production or manufacturing engineering environment
  • Exposure to precast concrete, construction materials, or heavy manufacturing advantageous
  • Strong understanding of production planning, process optimisation, and quality systems
  • Practical, hands-on engineering mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and drive continuous improvement
  • Competent in MS Office and production reporting tools

Qualifications

  • BTech in Civil Engineering
  • Drivers License and Own Car
