Job Summary
What Youll Do: Manage collections across a regional portfolio of branch accounts. Perform reconciliations on accounts 60 days overdue (an inherent requirement). Follow up relentlessly on overdue and unallocated payments, ensuring quick resolution. Process and allocate payments accurately. Decide when accounts should be escalated to legal for handover. Motivate and support the Credit team to achieve collection targets. Work systematically and in line with audit and company policies. What Were Looking For: Matric Credit Management (1,2,3) or Financial courses (advantageous if studying further). 5 years experience in credit control (open-item and balance brought forward systems). Advanced Microsoft Excel and comfortable in ERP environments. Strong reconciliation skills and a proven track record in collections. A resilient personality, not easily discouraged by pushback from customers. Excellent telephone manner, persistence, and problem-solving ability. A team player who can get along with everyone, while remaining firm and professional. Self-motivated, outcome-driven, and passionate about achieving results.
