My client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team and take ownership of maintaining precise financial records that drive informed business decisions.

This role is based in Hyde Park, Sandton.

As the Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Recording and processing daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date ledgers to support smooth financial operations.
• Preparing and issuing invoices to customers, monitoring payments, and following up on outstanding accounts.
• Capturing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, and processing timely payments.
• Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between internal records and bank statements.
• Monitoring and maintaining accounts payable and receivable to support strong cash flow management.
• Assisting with VAT and tax compliance by preparing and submitting relevant documentation.
• Preparing basic financial reports, including expense summaries and cash flow updates, to support management decision-making.
• Organising and maintaining financial documentation for easy access and compliance purposes.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities as required.

Experience & Qualifications Needed:

• A relevant Accounting/Finance degree (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum of 5 years’ proven bookkeeping experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
