Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Financial Accounting (FI) Consultant to join our team for the project focused on the Provision of Technical and Functional Support and Maintenance Services for SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4 HANA. The consultant will be responsible for providing expert support in financial accounting processes, ensuring seamless integration, optimization, and maintenance of SAP FI and CO modules. This role acts as a key advisor between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving efficient financial operations, compliance, and system enhancements aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support for SAP FI modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, and Asset Management.
• Offer expertise in SAP CO modules, encompassing Cost Element, Cost Center, Internal Order, and Profit Center accounting.
• Analyze business requirements related to financial processes and translate them into SAP configurations, customizations, and enhancements for ECC6 EHP7 and S/4 HANA environments.
• Perform system maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high availability, data integrity, and performance of financial systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, IT, auditors, and end-users) to design, implement, and test solutions that meet regulatory and business needs.
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, apply fixes, and document resolutions to prevent recurrence.
• Support data migration, upgrades, and integration between SAP modules and third-party systems.
  
• Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users on FI and CO functionalities to enhance adoption and efficiency.
  
• Monitor system performance, generate reports using SAP tools, and recommend improvements based on analytics and user feedback.
  
• Ensure compliance with financial standards, auditing requirements, and best practices in SAP environments.
  
• Participate in project planning, testing phases (unit, integration, UAT), and go-live activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• Proven experience as an SAP FI Consultant or similar role, with hands-on implementation and support in SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and/or SAP S/4 HANA.
  
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, SAP FI/CO configurations, and integration with other modules (e.g., MM, SD).
  
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and balance operational support with project deliverables.
  
• Familiarity with SAP tools and technologies (e.g., Fiori, ABAP basics, SAP Solution Manager).

Desired Skills

• Experience in industry-specific domains (e.g., public sector, manufacturing, finance).
  
• Knowledge of financial reporting tools and analytics (e.g., SAP BW, SAC).
  
• Analytical mindset with experience in using data to drive process improvements.
  
• Certification such as SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting (FI) or Management Accounting (CO) is advantageous.
