Job Title: Guide for Back-Up or Full Trails

Location:

This position is based in Democratic Republic of Congo.

Job Type:

This is a permanent position, working 3 months on 1 month off.

Primary Industry:

Full time Guiding guests from 4 – 14 night stay moving from camp to camp with the guests.

Secondary Industry:

Travel, Leisure, Tourism, and Hospitality.

Job Duties:

• Leading guests on walks, boating, kayaking and Game Drives in the jungle.
• Interpreting what is being seen and discovering untouched Jungle.
• Assisting with logistics and coordination of trail activities.
• Maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the journey.
• Handling any issues or emergencies that may arise during the trails.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid first aid certification.
• Excellent communication (French is advantagous however not a must) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of walking safaris and outdoor activities.

Education:

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

FGASA level 1,2 or 3 will be accepted. Back-up or full trails is a must

Experience:

Prior experience in guiding is a must.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of outdoor safety procedures and protocols.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in outdoor leadership or related field.
• Experience in customer service roles within the travel and tourism industry.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and may require physical exertion.
