A 5* medium sized hotel with conference venue in Sandton Central seeks to employ a Banqueting Sales Exec with an exceptional eye to detail and a passion for the events and wedding industry.

The ideal candidate will need to be currently employed as an events sales executive with the following requirements

• Conducting site inspections

• Prompt, courteous responses and follow ups made to all enquiries.

• Securing all inquiries and tentative bookings.

• Ensure all conferences and events are properly planned and quoted for

• Calling on clients in person to increase business volumes for conferences, events and launches

• Creatinf relationships between the hotel sales team and new clients

• Maintaining effective communication between the sales team and the operations team

Job Specification:-

• Matric (Grade 12)

• At least 3 years experience in a similar position in a 4 or 5 star property

• Hospitality Management Diploma, Certificate or relevant qualification would be beneficial

• Ability to work accurately under pressure.

• Excellent communication skills both verbal & written

• Computer Literacy is essential (Micros, OPERA, Word, Excel)

• Own vehicle and drivers licence and a South African Citizen

Must have minimum 3 years experience in the position + Hotel School Diploma or similar. Candidates must be well spoken in English and very well presented.
