Assistant Accountant Luxury Wine Estate | Stellenbosch Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-driven and organised Assistant Accountant to join the finance team at a prestigious luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a solid accounting background and a strong understanding of financial processes within a hospitality environment. Requirements: Grade 12 (essential) Degree, diploma, or certificate in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping Minimum 3 years experience in a similar accounting role Fluent in both English and Afrikaans Previous experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience with Pastel (Sage) Evolution or similar accounting software Familiarity with Easipos is beneficial Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Demonstrates initiative and takes ownership of responsibilities Ability to work collaboratively across departments Professional, flexible, and accountable approach Responsibilities: Capture cash book entries and perform daily cash-up reconciliations Execute general ledger functions including journal entries Manage debtors: issue invoices, perform account reconciliations, and follow up on collections Handle creditors: capture invoices, reconcile accounts, and prepare payment batches Administer stock: capture stock invoices and assist with monthly stocktakes Manage petty cash Place orders for centralised goods and supplies Perform general administrative and office duties as required Package: Salary: Negotiable depending on experience Luxury wine estate environment in Stellenbosch Opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic and renowned estate To Apply: Please send your updated CV, reference letters, and qualifications today Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates who meet the listed requirements will be contacted.
