Bending Machine Operator Reports to: Operations Seniority Level: Mid-Career (2-4 yrs exp) Type: Temp Responsibilities Machine Setup Select and install appropriate dies, tools, and clamps on bending machines, including those with CNC systems. Material Preparation Accurately position metal workpieces (sheet, bar, pipe, or tube) using end stops or guides to ensure correct alignment for bending. Machine Operation Operate the bending machine to form metal components to specified angles and contours, following work orders and drawings. Quality Control Inspect fabricated parts to confirm compliance with specifications, tolerances, and quality standards. Maintenance Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication and minor repairs to ensure consistent machine performance and prevent downtime. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all company safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and health regulations. Documentation Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and completed tasks. Key Skills & Qualifications Blueprint Reading Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders. Machine Operation Skilled in operating both manual and CNC-controlled bending machines. Technical Aptitude Strong mechanical understanding for machine setup, tool selection, and troubleshooting.
