Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join a leading Food and Beverage Consultancy operating across Cape Town and Stellenbosch. This role offers a competitive salary of R30,000 R40,000 per month (negotiable depending on experience).

The ideal candidate will be a creative and driven culinary professional with strong leadership skills, capable of overseeing multiple projects and delivering high-quality culinary solutions for diverse clients.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-end or luxury hospitality environment

• Extensive knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and menu development

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Exceptional organisational and administrative abilities

• Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and kitchen operations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Creative and innovative approach to menu design and culinary trends

• Flexibility to work across multiple locations and projects

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage culinary operations across client projects

• Develop and implement menus that meet client expectations and industry standards

• Lead, mentor, and manage kitchen teams to deliver excellence

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations

• Maintain strict quality control and consistency across all culinary outputs

• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored culinary solutions

• Monitor kitchen budgets, costs, and resource management

• Drive innovation and maintain a high level of creativity and presentation in all dishes
