Cape Town: Spa Therapist posted by Pepperclub Hotel & Spa

PURPOSE: Under the general direction of the Spa Manager and within the limits of the hotels policies and procedures, providing exceptional spa treatments to our guests.

REPORTING TO: Spa Manager

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of spa treatments including massages, facials, body treatments, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and other services as required.
• Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring guest feels relaxed and satisfied with their spa experience.
• Do consultations with guests to understand their needs and preferences.
• Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as promotions.
• Adhere to hygiene and safety standards
• Have excellent product knowledge
• Work together with other staff members to ensure seamless delivery of spa services.
• Maintain proper supplies of professional products, towels, and other supplies in treatment rooms
• Keep up to date with trends and the competition

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• An international Beauty Therapy Certificate/ Somatology Diploma from ITEC or CIDESCO
• 2-3 years of Hotel / Spa experience
• Great previous retail track record
• Ability to source new business
• Ability to develop a regular client database
• Required to work shifts and most weekends and public holidays
