A degree in Accounting or Finance is required for this role along with proven work experience as an Accountant. Attention to detail and good analytical skills are also crucial for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting
Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage accruals, prepayments and journal entries
Reconcile bank and control accounts

2. Management Accounting
Budget preparation and variance analysis
Cash flow forecasting
Cost tracking and analysis
Assist in decision making with financial data

3. Bookkeeping
Process daily transactions
Maintain records of income and expenses
Manager supplier and customer accounts (AP/AR)

4. Tax and Compliance
Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE and other statuary returns to SARS
Ensure compliance with relevantly laws and financial regulations
Liaise with external auditors and assist in audit preparation

5. ERP and Systems Use
Comfortable with accounting software such as Zoho ERP, Sage, MS Dynamics 365
Generate reports and maintain data accuracy in ERP systems

6. Payroll
Assist with or manage payroll processing
Reconcile payroll liabilities
Submit regulatory returns

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification: BCom in Accounting or currently studying towards it
• Experience: Solid experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Computer Skills: Caseware/Draftworks, Sage One, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Driver’s License: Required
• Own Transport: Advantageous
• Language: Afrikaans proficiency preferred
• Working Hours: 07:30 – 16:30
