We are searching for a seasoned full function Bookkeeper to join our team based in Durban North. The main role of the Bookkeeper is to maintain the day-to-day financial records including but not limited to to:-Customer invoicing, credit notes, and monitor outstanding payments-Process supplier invoices, credit notes & generation of Purchase Orders-Process & Reconciliation of credit card transactions-Reconcile Bank, Creditors, Debtors accounts-General Ledger postings & reporting-Prepare VAT returns and support monthly management reports-Maintain and update the fixed asset register-Liaise with our external accountant, suppliers & customers-Handle finance-related email queries and ensure prompt follow-upsRequirements:-At least 23 years experience as a bookkeeper-Qualification in Bookkeeping or related field -Strong knowledge of accounting software – Quickbooks, Xero (Advantageous)-Excellent working knowledge with MS Excel spreadsheets-Knowledge of South African VAT, PAYE, and financial regulations-Attention to detail-Deadline driven -Strong interpersonal and communication skills-Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment
