To conduct a professional FNA (financial needs analysis) to make needs based recommendation that could lead to a sale. To achieve sales targets as set out by the company. To build relationships with clients so that consultant wins confidence, credibility and trust. Elicit information to maximize the effectiveness of a clients portfolio. To secure 2nd appointment. To give objective professional advice on clients needs. To portray the appropriate propriety in their target market. To meet all legislative requirements. To remain accredited and up to date with relevant market & industry related subjects. To remain adequately equipped and knowledgeable regarding the latest technology. Experience Previous experience in technical/engineering sales, direct sales, or business development. Experience in the specific sector (mining, automation, electronics, solar, test & measurement, etc.) is a big plus. Track record of meeting sales targets. Skills Strong communication skills (written & verbal) able to explain technical detail to non‐technical clients. Negotiation skills. Presentation skills / Public speaking. Problem solving ability to come up with solutions tailored to customer needs. Time management, ability to prioritize. Ability to work independently and in a team. Other Requirements Valid drivers license; own transport if required to travel to client sites. Willingness to travel (locally, possibly internationally).
