Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12, relevant qualification highly advantageous
- Minimum 5 yrs experience in procurement/logistics imports & exports (daily basis)
- Own transport with a valid SA drivers license
- Pastel experience advantageous
- Experience with Letter of Credit payment method – an advantage
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint proficient
- Must be a team player
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently
- German language would be an advantage
- Work permit, if necessary, must be available
DUTIES
- Sourcing/procuring various products from local & international suppliers
- Compiling of quotations for cross-trade & import shipments to customers
- Liaising with freight forwarders to obtain air/sea courier quotations
- Issuing orders to various international & local suppliers
- Expedite and follow up with suppliers to schedule collections
- Daily follow-up with suppliers on outstanding orders
- Arrange & fast track shipments via Courier/ Air/ Sea
- Updating customers on their orders and shipping delivery times
- Keeping track of customers account in terms of payments due/ statements
- Maintaining good relationships with suppliers and customers
- Product calculation
- Duties are not limited to the above, the position will also include other secretarial duties should assistance be required.
Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience
