SUMMARY

Beauty therapist is trained in the basic spa treatments. Treating all customers with the utmost care and professionalism to create an inviting and calm atmosphere. Do treatments on various customers that are of the highest quality so that they want to return for the quality of the treatment received. Continuously upskills yourself through practice and study. Expected to be target driven and focused on elevating retail and/or treatment sales. All Spa employees should be presentable according to industry standards as well as pay attention to personal care.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Qualification: Grade 12 or Equivalent

Beauty Therapy Certificate

Experience: 1 year Industry related experience

Unique Competencies: Attention to Detail; Building Customer Loyalty; Customer Focus; Energy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Treatments and equipment

• Familiar with all treatment protocols Manicure & Pedicure, Gel, Waxing, Skincare and Massage
• Understand of all Mint Spa related products
• All services offered to be delivered to the highest standard
• Carry out accurate skin analysis and give advice about skin and body care

Administration

• Maintain client records with a confidential and effective system
• Use down-time as up-time to improve knowledge and services

Cross-service

• Hosting of guests
• Rooming of guests
• Refreshing rooms
• Basic housekeeping

Upsell and Communication

• Give advice about products carried in Mint Spas
• Build and maintain client relationships

Personal development

• Ongoing online training for personal development is required
• Develop a mindful culture within yourself
• Attend all training sessions

General Standards

• Maintain a high standard of spa hygiene on a daily basis
• Deep clean of treatment rooms done monthly
• Taking responsibility for Spa equipment
• Ensures that waxing station is neat and presentable at all times
• Ensure that nail stations are neat and organized at all times
• Ensures that manicure and pedicure equipment is sterilized
• Maintaining UV cabinets

• Keep up to date on trends
• Cross-promotion and selling of the spa services with the in-house reservations team
