A well-established leader in the automotive sector requires a Sourcing Clerk – Buyer: DUTIES: 1. Capturing of customer order o Receive customer order via email, whatsapp or telephone. o Capture quote on the company ERP system o Once quote is approved the Sales Order is created on the ERP system and released 2. Sourcing of product o Cross reference requested vehicle parts on customer quote to vehicle database and then suppliers o Catalogues / database o Once correct part is identified, contact suppliers and confirm price and availability o Add markup and quote customer o Once quote accepted by customer, create purchase orders on company ERP and send to suppliers o Expedite the delivery of the goods from supplier to warehouse within agreed timelines of the supplier o Receive the goods and submit document pack to Finance for processing 3. Fulfilment of customer order and invoicing o Ensure all products from different suppliers are received within timelines of customer order o Once all goods received on customer order, the goods are picked, packed, invoiced and shipped o Liaise with driver or courier to ensure on-time delivery to customer 4. Reverse logistics and incorrect supply o Receive query from customer and capture SRO (sales return order) on company ERP o Investigate the query and incorrect part o Contact supplier and obtain an authorization to return the part o Create a RTS (return to supplier) document on ERP system o Liaise with logistics to collect the incorrect part and deliver to supplier with RTS document o Submit supplier credit note to finance for processing 5. Customer Service o Monitor service levels. o Operate within set standards. o Ensure worldclass customer service REQUIREMENTS: o Matric o A diploma specializing in Buying/Sourcing/Procurement would be beneficial o Minimum of 2 years buying/parts sourcing experience within a medium to large environment, PREFERABLY Automotive or Commercial (HCV) retail / trading environment where parts and components are sourced on a daily basis o from a large network of local suppliers. o Advanced computer literacy o Good communicator with strong telephone sales skills o High levels of energy. o Professional & well Groomed o High level of integrity and confidentiality o Commercially sound with excellent computer skills o Diligent with attention to detail o Driven, confident, self-motivated and results orientated o Team player but also be able to work independently o Precise and responsible with good organizational skills o Possesses a continuous improvement in culture o Displays a strong customer service ethic o Mature with ability to tolerate high levels of stress o Displays initiative with good levels of entrepreneurial spirit o Excellent communication skills both oral (telephone and in person) and written o Good negotiations skills o Excellent business acumen o Strong customer and service delivery focus o Attention to detail and accuracy o Ability to work within a highly pressurized and fast-paced environment o Good Computer Literacy o Good Administrative and organizational skills KNOWLEDGE o Knowledge and understanding of automotive and HCV aftermarket o Knowledge of OEM and Replacement parts and of the South Africa car parc o Knowledge of and contacts within the automotive and commercial supply base in South Africa o Using of parts catalogues and online stores to find and source product o The use of TechDoc and similar online parts systems
