Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify materials, labor, and equipment requirements
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
- Prepare and evaluate tender documents
- Negotiate and procure subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to project teams
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Prepare and evaluate variation orders and final accounts
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
Requirements:
- A relevant technical qualification and be registered as a quantity surveyor with a minimum of 8 years experience.
- Experience in Built environment projects
- Experience on an engineering construction site
- An above average understanding of contract management and knowledge of various standard forms of contract in construction & engineering
- Willing to work on project sites
- Strong problem-solving skills including excellent and proven client engagement ability
- Strong analytical skills
- Commercial astuteness
- Experience with contractual claims
- Mentoring and development of young talent
- Previous experience working in WinQS and DimX
- Ability to Travel
