Hire Resolves client in the mechanical engineering industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Design Mechanical Engineer in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards in mechanical engineering for water supply systems.
• Perform quality and performance analysis on mechanical equipment.
• Design and maintain electrical systems for buildings and waterworks.
• Evaluate systems for safety, reliability, and performance.
• Oversee the implementation of mechanical systems and ensure they meet customer needs and standards.

Requirements:

• B.Eng. or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB).
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Design Mechanical Engineer, specifically in electrical installations for large water supply pumping systems.
• Proven track record of working on at least 4 major bulk water transfer projects over the past 8 years.
• Demonstrated ability to design, control, and implement electrical systems and products.
• Experience in risk assessment and budget management.
