Key responsibilities and duties:

• Supervise and support warehouse staff by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Plan and oversee despatch and delivery schedules to ensure efficient and timely movement of goods, working closely with carriers and suppliers to track shipments and resolve any issues.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and maintain accurate records to meet customer demands.
• Identify and implement strategies to enhance warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
• Enforce safety and security protocols to ensure a safe working environment and prevent damage, theft, or loss.
• Train new team members to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities and perform effectively.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints related to shipping and receiving, providing timely and satisfactory resolutions.
• Maintain a clean, organised warehouse in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution center
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and shipping operations
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with safety and security protocols
