About the Role
AtripleA recruitment & temps is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing control systems according to client-specific requirements. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver cost-effective solutions that meet their expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design a cost-effective solution for projects to meet customer needs
- Prepare a functional and detailed design of the approved solution for the client to ensure effective development thereof
- Design system architecture for software implementations
- Design industrial communication networks for software implementations (Ethernet, fibre, Profinet, etc.)
- Design, develop, test, and implement PLC programs according to client specifications and ensure optimal functioning thereof
- Design, develop, test, and implement SCADA and/or HMI applications according to client specifications and ensure optimal functioning thereof
- Develop simulation applications for testing and training purposes
- Develop QCP documentation for factory acceptance testing
- Perform factory acceptance tests to ensure that the designed solution is fully functional
- Implement the complete solution at the client and ensure optimal functioning thereof
- Develop QCP documentation for site acceptance testing
- Perform site acceptance tests to ensure that the designed solution is fully functional
- Provide training and assistance to the client to ensure they can use the system within design constraints
- Provide post-project system support for the client as and when required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics / B.Tech, Technical Diploma or NQF Equivalent in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering
- 3-5 years of relevant industrial automation experience
- Practical experience in Control System Design, Development, FAT Testing and Commissioning
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of fibre networks and the methodology thereof and practical experience in Ethernet networks and switches
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of PLC programming and the methodology thereof with practical experience in at least one of the following industry automation platforms: Siemens, Schneider, Allan Bradley, Omron, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of SCADA development and the methodology thereof with practical experience in at least one of the following industry supervisory platforms: Wonderware, Siemens, Schneider, Allan Bradley, Adriot
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of relational databases and report generation and the methodology thereof with practical experience in Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Reporting Services
- Exposure to mining industry is advantageous
Qualifications
- B.Eng Electrical and Electronics / B.Tech, Technical Diploma or NQF Equivalent in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering
