- Degree in Mechanical / Mettalurgy / Chemical Engineering
- Qualification in Project Management would be an advantage
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the mining industry with multi-disciplinary engineering and project experience
- Must be able to execute projects with Senior Management / Project Manager assistance and management
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practice
- Strong technical skills in engineering principles and practices
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software
- Must have valid RSA Passport and be willing to travel periodically
Duties
- Manage own projects in accordance with company’s specifications and requirements
- Responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects assigned and to establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project
- Management of project cost, quality, timing, scope, freight and site works
- Understand the mechanical components of grinding mills and other equipment and how these machines operate
