About the Role
Nestled in the heart of one of Uganda’s breathtaking Impenetrable Forests, Zeebra Junction Specialist Recruitment is seeking an innovative and dynamic Executive Head Chef to join its esteemed team. This Ultra Deluxe Lodge offers an unparalleled adventure for those seeking the ultimate gorilla tracking experience, featuring 10 luxurious rooms and catering to high-end clientele from American, European, and Asian markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Design and develop seasonal menus that highlight local and international cuisine, catering to the tastes and preferences of our diverse clientele.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Manage food inventory, sourcing, and procurement, ensuring the use of fresh and high-quality ingredients.
- Implement and maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the lodge management team to create memorable dining experiences that enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and overall kitchen expenses to achieve budgetary goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel, lodge, or fine dining establishment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional creativity and a passion for culinary innovation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a remote and challenging environment.
- Knowledge of diverse international cuisines and dietary preferences.
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
