About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Dealer Principal to join our team in the Western Cape, Helderberg region. As a key member of our dealership management team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, improving profitability, and expanding market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategies to enhance dealership revenue, profitability, and market share.
- Implement people capacity plans aligned with performance objectives and budgets.
- Achieve and exceed financial targets as agreed.
- Manage cross-functional areas effectively to optimize operations.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and OEM guidelines.
- Oversee the dealership’s financial assets, including cash flow, stock, and debtors.
- Lead and manage staff to attract and retain high-quality employees.
- Focus on customer acquisition and retention through customer-centric initiatives.
- Analyse market trends and competitor intelligence to inform strategies.
- Foster a positive work environment that maximizes employee productivity.
Requirements
- ± 7 years in the motor industry with exposure to various business disciplines.
- ± 5 years in vehicle retail new and pre-owned sales.
- Min of ± 5 years Dealer Operational Management Experience in retail, sales and service.
- Marketing experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) required
- B Com / other relevant tertiary business/commercial qualifications (preferable)
