About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Supply Chain and Purchasing Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement and inventory management processes to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices for materials and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory control to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchasing activities and supplier contracts.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline purchasing and supply chain operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements in purchasing and supply chain management.
Requirements
- Matric
- Supply Chain Qualification / Purchasing Qualification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Inventory Management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and supply chain management software.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
