About the Role
We are seeking a reliable Storeman to join our team at Route Management in Johannesburg. As a Storeman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and distributed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within a store
- Efficient handling of stock, accurate order processing, and proper inventory management
- Properly storing items, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
- Picking and packing items for shipment, preparing orders for dispatch, and potentially using a warehouse management system
- Maintaining accurate stock levels by conducting cycle counts and stock takes, and reporting discrepancies
- Coordinating outgoing shipments, including documentation and arranging transportation
Requirements
- Matric
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to work overtime when required
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain an organized and efficient workspace
- Previous store keeping experience advantageous
