About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Relief Manager to join our team in East London. As a Relief Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing store operations during the manager’s absence, ensuring smooth functioning of all departments and maintaining high service standards. You will also be responsible for managing staff, monitoring sales and customer service, and controlling inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee store operations during manager’s absence – ensure smooth functioning of all departments
- Supervise staff and delegate tasks – maintain productivity and resolve staffing issues
- Monitor sales and customer service – ensure high service standards and address customer concerns
- Manage cash handling and banking procedures – oversee tills and daily cash-up
- Ensure compliance with company policies – maintain health, safety, and operational standards
- Control tock and inventory – check stock levels and assist with ordering when needed
- Handle operational issues promptly – resolve problems to keep the store running efficiently
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent
- FMCG experience – minimum 3 years
- Stable work history
- Own transportation
