About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-driven Electrical Draughtsperson to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As an integral part of our Process department, you will be responsible for producing accurate electrical drawings, ensuring compliance with ISO 50001, and supporting daily operations and improvement projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and revise accurate electrical drawings (single line, schematics, layouts, cable schedules)
- Ensure all electrical documentation is current, correctly version-controlled, and readily available
- Maintain ISO 50001 compliance in all energy-related electrical documentation
- Track, implement, and record all electrical drawing changes and as-built updates
- Conduct studies on best practice, new technologies, and future electrical design trends
- Prepare detailed technical presentations for the Senior Design Engineer
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving opportunities
- Lead electrical design on projects from concept through to implementation
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and with minimum risk
- Contribute to budget preparation and strictly control expenditure
Requirements
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NQF 6) – Light or Heavy Current
- Up to 3 years’ experience in electrical draughting/design within a manufacturing environment
- Matric / Grade 12 Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN or similar (essential)
- Solid understanding of electrical installations, SANS 10142, IEC standards, and ISO 50001
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint – for presentations)

- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NQF 6) – Light or Heavy Current
