About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Retail Sales Manager to lead our in-store team and drive sales performance. The successful candidate will be based on the sales floor, ensuring exceptional customer service, staff productivity, and strong brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate sales targets and ensure team performance meets or exceeds expectations.
- Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service.
- Maintain high merchandising and store presentation standards.
- Lead, motivate, mentor, and develop the store team to maximise sales.
- Manage daily store operations, sales activities, and staff performance.
- Enforce work procedures and address non-compliance appropriately.
- Provide daily sales reporting to management and staff.
- Ensure ongoing staff training, development, and strong product knowledge.
Requirements
- Matric / Senior Certificate.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Email).
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (both essential).
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and lead a team effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changes.
- Basic HR knowledge.
- Willingness to work retail hours (195 hours/month; shift roster).
