About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication Estimator to join our team in Germiston. As a key member of our fabrication division, you will be responsible for estimating and managing fabrications projects, working closely with engineers and fabrication teams to ensure accurate estimates and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret Fabrication drawings
- Provide detailed estimates for steel fabrication projects
- Collaborate with engineers and fabrication teams to ensure accurate project estimates
- Familiarize yourself with industry standards and pricing trends for steel, welding, and related materials
Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in Steel, Piping and Welding
- Experience as a Fabrication Estimator
- Ability to work with fabrication teams and engineers
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and estimating tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification preferred
- Completion of a recognized steel, piping, or welding-related qualification
