About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for investigating, planning, and coordinating the development, testing, and introduction of process materials and manufacturing processes. You will also be involved in arranging, planning, and coordinating the introduction of new product models and initiating process changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, plan, and coordinate the development, testing, and introduction of process materials.
- Plan and coordinate manufacturing processes, including facilities, purchasing of equipment, and products.
- Arrange, plan, and coordinate the introduction of new product models.
- Initiate the introduction of process changes on specific models.
- Maintain and assist production teams in developing Work Instructions and Standards operation sheets.
- Identify improvement opportunities with regard to processes or materials.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Production Management/Operations Management.
- 3 years relevant work experience in a Production environment.
- Ability to compile detailed investment studies and project control plans.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, layouts, and Final Assembly facilities.
- Excellent insight into Product Engineering, Process and Mechanical Planning, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing, Pilot Hall, and IS production systems.
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Production Management/Operations Management (if mentioned).
