About the Role
Farm Manager SA is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Dairy Farm Manager to join our team in Ermelo. As a leading agricultural company, we are committed to producing high-quality dairy products while maintaining sustainable farming practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our dairy farm, overseeing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the dairy farm
- Supervise and coordinate a team of dairy farmers
- Implement effective pasture management strategies to optimize crop yields and animal health
- Maintain accurate records of livestock movements, feedings, and production metrics
- Perform maintenance tasks on farm equipment and infrastructure
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience on a dairy farm
- Great stockman essential
- Ability to work with budgets and keep good record
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be a hands-on person, hard-working, deadline-driven and diligent
- Exceptional leadership and management experience, with good interpersonal communication skills
Qualifications
Agricultural Diploma or Degree advantageous.
