About the Role
Status Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper Assistant to join our team in Bellville. As a permanent employee, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of our client’s business. If you have relevant finance experience and excellent bookkeeping skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily reconciliations of multiple bank accounts, including trust and business accounts
- Business Creditors: Manage and reconcile accounts payable, including payments to agents, sheriffs, advocates, and other service providers
- General Account Queries: Investigate and resolve daily queries related to accounting discrepancies or transactions
- VAT Submissions
- PAYE
- Processing Accounting Records
Requirements
- Relevant Finance qualification (advantageous)
- 3–4 years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Qualifications
Relevant finance qualification (e.g. BCom in Accounting or related field) is advantageous for this role.
Salary & Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from R8,000 to R15,000 per month, with the start date being immediate.
