Duties:
- Create and maintain the database of Councilors details with specific reference to Sitting Allowance and Subsistence & Travel
- Calculation / Re-calculation of payments of Councilor Sitting Allowances and Subsistence & Travel claims
- Upload Councilor payments on ABSA cash focus
- Maintaining and updating councilor records and payments on the VIP system
- Ensure proper filling system of Councilor information, payments and reports
- Complying with relevant legislation and regulations (e.g. PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Companies Policies, etc.)
- Assisting with year-end processes such as annual payroll tax and payment summary reconciliations
- Making backups and arranging for safekeeping of documentation
- Reconciling of all councilor data to ensure that the accurate payments are made
- Dealing with councilor queries from Companies Provincial and National offices
- Be able to provide Councilor Payment reports as required by Companies Provincial and National offices
- Providing assistance during internal and external audits (retrieval and checking of documents)
- Maintain proper accounting records for the Companies Employees Bursary scheme.
Requirements:
- National Diploma with a major in accounting is required
- 3 years work experience in payroll with some experience on handling employee benefits
- Knowledge of the VIP Premier system
- Knowledge of SAP system
- Attention to detail
- Understanding Payroll procedures and payroll related forms
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
- Presentation skills
- Coordination, planning & organising skills
- Good interpersonal relationship skills
Salary: R 200 000 Annual CTC
