Job Description
Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced BOP O&M Co Manager to join their team in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power plant operations and maintenance, with a focus on Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of BOP systems in the power plantDevelop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability of BOP equipment
- Coordinate with O&M teams to schedule maintenance activities and optimise plant availability
- Manage a team of technicians and engineers to ensure safe and efficient operation of BOP systems
- Monitor and analyse performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to support maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance, with a focus on BOP systems
- Strong technical knowledge of BOP equipment, including turbines, generators, boilers, and auxiliary systems
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling software
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to power plant operations
