Position: Plant Reliability Specialist

Hire Resolves client is seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Reliability Specialist to join their team in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of their plant equipment through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement reliability strategies to maximise equipment up time and minimise downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Create and maintain maintenance plans and schedules to optimise equipment performance.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure efficient and effective maintenance practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential reliability risks.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to source reliable and quality spare parts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in plant reliability engineering or maintenance management.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
