About the Role

Hewitt Colenbrander Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing bank transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Preparing management accounts and reporting packs with variance analysis
• Maintaining of ledger, post journals and perform month-end/year end close
• Manage creditor’s and debtor’s transactions and reconciliations
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws and regulations
• Oversee bank transactions and reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset register and post depreciation

Requirements

• Strong technical accounting skills
• Detail oriented with strong organisation skills
• Self-starter and driven
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
