Job Description
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Picking Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, efficient, and professional management of picking and dispatch operations within our warehouse, supporting the achievement of sales and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily picking to ensure all orders are picked accurately and on time.

Supervise pickers, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient picking.
-
Monitor picker performance addressing issues of inefficiency or inaccuracy with appropriate corrective action.
-
Plan picking schedules aligned to delivery appointments, proactively managing delays or changes.
-
Ensure replenishment of picking stores is done timeously and efficiently to prevent stock shortages.

Manage the handling and reporting of damaged, soiled, or incorrect stock.

Compile daily and weekly reports on picking accuracy, productivity, and dispatch efficiency.

Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and teamwork within the picking and dispatch teams.

Enforce company policies and procedures, initiating disciplinary action when necessary.
Requirements:

Proven experience in a warehouse dispatch, picking, or stock control supervisory role.

Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Solid knowledge of warehouse and dispatch processes and SOPs.

Computer literacy, including MS Office (Excel proficiency advantageous).

Experience in managing and training operational teams.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to stock control accuracy.
